he Supreme Court has annulled a government regulation pertaining to the imposition of fees for vehicle registration document (STNK) validation.
The STNK validation fee was stipulated in Government Regulation No. 60/2016 on rates of non-tax state revenues applicable for the National Police.
In its decision, the court said the fee collection contravened a 2014 law on government administration, which stipulates that such administrative services should be free.
Traffic police chief Insp. Gen. Royke Lumowa said his side would not challenge the decision.
“But for further details, please ask the Finance Ministry,” Royke said Wednesday as quoted by kontan.co.id (wnd)
