span>After releasing his successful album Generation Y in 2015, Kunto Aji is now working on his second album. Considering the success he achieved with his debut, the singer now carries the burden of satisfying music enthusiasts who expect to get more from his second album.
Kunto said musicians also generally set a high standard for themselves when it comes to preparing their sophomore effort, always wanting to up their game.
“This is very tricky because as we try to step up, we may go too far and fail to enjoy our own music or entertain people with our music,” he said as quoted by kapanlagi.com at the office of June Records in Mampang Pela, South Jakarta, on Thursday.
When asked about the theme of the second album, Kunto said he would present a theme highlighting mental health. Kunto said he tried to use all of his senses to capture various current issues around him in order to write the music for the second album.
“I’ll take the theme of mental health because it’s common to find suicide or drug cases involving musicians. Artists are close to poor mental health because they tend to be sensitive,” he said.
