East Jakarta overpass ready for operation, official says

he construction of an overpass in Cipinang Lontar, East Jakarta, is finished and ready for operation on Tuesday, an official has said.
Jakarta Transportation Agency head Andri Yansyah said the overpass would open following a final inspection by his office.
"There's only one item on the agenda left, and we are going to inspect it today. We have to make sure that the U-turn section is used properly and we'll start to make the overpass fully operational," Andri said at City Hall on Monday as quoted by kompas.com.
Andri added that his agency was prepared to manage traffic in the area, particularly to anticipate gridlock at a cross junction in front of the National Police Logistics Directorate (DKN).
"We recommend that the road in front of the DKN be closed and we have prepared a U-turn next to a railway crossing," Andri said.
He said motorcyclists would have access to the overpass. (fac)
