he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested several officials of the Tangerang District Court on Monday night for alleged bribery in a civil case.
The arrested officials were judge Wahyu Widya Nurfitri and clerk Tuti Atikah.
The court’s spokesperson, M. Irfan Siregar, said the judge's and the clerk’s rooms had been sealed by the antigraft body.
“There are two rooms that were being sealed, the one of Bu Wahyu and the other of Bu Tuti. We got info that Bu Tuti was still questioned by the KPK, but we don’t know about Bu Wahyu,” Irfan said on Tuesday as quoted by tribunjakarta.com.
He added that the KPK had approached Tuti while she was at the court. Wahyu was on leave when the antigraft body came to the court. It remains unknown whether the KPK has since arrested Wahyu.
The court also has yet to be informed about the bribery case related to the arrests, Irfan said. (wnd)
