Jakpost guide to all about pets

Ever felt confused about where to take your dogs and cats in the city?

These are the places you can visit to spoil your pets or even welcome a new furry friend into your life.

Vodka & Latte

Located in Kemang and established four years ago, Vodka & Latte has a salon, swimming pool, park, café and hotel for dogs. It uses Japanese-standard service, including in its grooming and styling service. When making an appointment, the staff will usually ask for your dog’s name, its breed and whether it has long or short hair. Upon arrival, your dog will be screened for fleas (it should have less than five fleas) and rabies vaccine status for new customers.

Where art meets wine: Bartega Studio

Bartega Studio is a Jakarta-based paint and sip company, combining both wine tasting and art jamming into social events that take place around Jakarta.

The event consists of guided acrylic painting sessions in which wine is served as an optional addition to the experience. Attendants are encouraged to be creative and add their own personal touches to their paintings, while interacting with other people and exploring what could potentially be a new hobby.

Benson Putra, cofounder of Bartega Studio, said in a statement that through interactions with the participants, he perceived art, particularly painting, as an activity that allowed people to project their inner thoughts, feelings and personalities.

New Senopati health hub emphasizes practical approach

A bowl of salad, though good for health, has a bad reputation for not being tasty or filling, says a chef.

Julian Ducrocq, chef and co-founder of newly opened salad bar Greenery, emphasized the importance of being creative with ingredients for a satisfying bowl. Mixing vegetables, lentils and protein not only makes a salad more filling, it also maximizes the nutritional value of a meal, he said.

“You feel full and you feel good. You can eat a lot of it and you feel good because you’re getting all that vital nutrition,” Ducrocq told the press when introducing Greenery, one of three stops inside health and wellness hub Senopati 41c.
