Five female artists, Dyan Anggraini, Ria Andaryanti, Aishah Abdul Latif, Trinawangwulan and Hartina Ajir, are currently showcasing their works in a week-long joint exhibition running from April 20 (exhibition opening) to 27.
The exhibition will open from 7:30 p.m. while the gallery will be open for the exhibition from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A common thread binds the five women’s works: they all respond to numerous themes on women and their day-to-day lives. The five women’s imagination are a creative response on the circumstances that women face in various dimensions and perspectives, while addressing barriers that limit women’s creative endeavors.
All in all, through the exhibition the five artists seek to convey a message that women are capable of working in all sectors – including arts and culture – without the barriers created by gender, age or nationality.
