T

he Banten chapter of State-owned Electricity Company (PLN) has opened registration for free mudik (homecoming) trips for vendors in Tangerang, Banten, ahead of the 2018 Islamic Holiday of Idul Fitri.

Idul Fitri will fall on June 15.

The free mudik trip is part of the firm’s corporate social responsibility program under BUMN Peduli.

"The free trip is offered specially for local vendors [in Tangerang]," PLN spokesman Alit said on Monday, as reported by wartakota.tribunnews.com.

Alit said that the vendors only needed to bring a copy of their ID and family cards to register at PLN Banten chapter offices.

He said that the registration would be open from Monday to Friday with destination cities in West Java, Central Java and East Java.

"The trips will be by bus for up to 200 people. The buses will depart on June 8. The trip goers will need to re-register on June 5 and 6 as well," he said. (ami)
