Mayasari Transjakarta bus serving corridor 8 connecting Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta to Harmoni in Central Jakarta crashed into a road divider in Simprug, South Jakarta, on Monday.
“A bus operated by Mayasari got into an accident at 12.20 p.m. The bus has been removed from the site,” PT Transjakarta spokesperson Wibowo said on Monday as quoted by kompas.com.
Transjakarta is looking into the cause of the incident, he added, though no casualties have been reported.
Mayasari assistant director Bakti Zulkifli declined to comment on the crash, saying only that it was under investigation.
Photos of the incident, which has gone viral on social media on WhatsApp chat groups, show a damaged green bus lodged in a road divider. (iwa)
