We have been hearing news and seeing YouTube videos about Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Earth, Miss Indonesia, Putri Indonesia and so on for many years. Why are all the contests for unmarried women? What about the married ones?
Once a woman gets married, it should not be the end of the story. Married women still have the beauty, passion, talent, skills and personality. They deserve to participate in competitions like beauty pageants.
To address this issue, Glam Galaxy will be holding a beauty pageant called Mrs India Indonesia 2018 on May 12 at the Grand Capitol Ballroom of the Manhattan Hotel in Jakarta.
Weeks earlier, Glam Galaxy conducted auditions and makeup sessions. The judges, including Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural Center director Makrand Shukla and Miss Indonesia 2005 Mrs. Imelda Fransisca, selected 18 contestants for the grand finale on Saturday, May 12.

Not only beauty, but also talent, intelligence, exuberance and many other aspects will be taken into account when selecting the first-ever Mrs. India Indonesia.
“It is a very good platform for all the talented, multitalented women of substance who want to showcase themselves, for their personality to be known to the world,” Shukla, who is also a Bollywood actor, said recently.
With the theme “Elegance is the beauty that never fades”, the Mrs India Indonesia 2018 event is set to make history in Indonesia.
Though it is not a new idea, providing a platform for married women to showcase their talent and compassion is unique.
In India, they have held Mrs India pageants, the only pageant for married women, for many years. Glam Galaxy has come up with a new concept, combining the two countries.
“It is a very good platform,” said Shukla, commending the initiative of Glam Galaxy.
