s many as 16,000 runners are set to take part in the 2018 edition of the MILO Jakarta International 10-kilometer (10K) race, which is part of celebrations for the capital’s 491st anniversary on July 15.
“On behalf of the Jakarta administration, I welcome the MILO Jakarta International 10K,” Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno said in a statement.
“One must thoroughly prepare before joining a marathon race. I appreciate the organizers’ effort in accommodating those who are planning to take part in the 10K with a training session today [Sunday]. For those who haven’t registered, please do.”
With the theme Green Energy for a New Jakarta, the eighth edition of the 10K race will be held at the Rasuna Epicentrum in Kuningan, South Jakarta.
The race will involve both local and foreign runners. In addition to the main race, the event also features a family run for 1,500 families. Registration for the event ends on June 29 at milo.co.id.
