fire broke out on the 10th floor of the Pullman Hotel on Jl. MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday evening, only a few hours after another fire engulfed the Niaga Building in the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) commercial complex in Kemayoran.
Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency head Syarifudin said more than 10 fire engines had been deployed to put out the fire.
"We've dispatched all fire trucks from Kemayoran [Central Jakarta]," he said as quoted by kompas.com.
The fire allegedly started at 7.30 p.m.
The firefighters are yet to discover the cause of the blaze. (vla)
