T

he family of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo cast their vote in the Central Java gubernatorial election in Manahan, Surakarta, Central Java, on Wednesday.

Jokowi's mother Sujiatmi Notomiharjo and Jokowi's sons, Kaesang Pangarep and Gibran Rakabuming Raka along his wife Selvi Ananda, cast their ballot at a polling station in Manahan.

Kaesang arrived at 9:15 a.m. with his mother, First Lady Iriana. As soon as he arrived, Kaesang registered with the polling station's working committee officials and queued up with other voters.

Iriana only accompanied Kaesang at the polling station. Iriana and Jokowi have legally moved to Jakarta, so they are not eligible to vote in the Central Java gubernatorial election.

An hour later, Jokowi's mother, Sujiatmi, arrived at the polling station to vote. Speaking to reporters after casting her ballot, Sujiatmi expressed hope that the gubernatorial election would go smoothly. "I hope Central Java can be successful," she said.

Central Java Police deputy chief Brig. Gen. Achmad Lutfhi was present to oversee voting at the polling station.

Jokowi's daughter, Kahiyang Ayu, was registered at the polling station, but as of midday she had not been seen. The total number of eligible voters at the polling station stood at 300 voters. (stu/ebf)
