Actor Aliando Syarief believes that the upcoming comedy flick, Gila Lu Ndro, will be a blast to watch because it has aliens.
In a promotional short for the movie, Aliando is seen waiting for his ride-hailing ojek (motorcycle taxi) to arrive when he encounters an alien waiting for its spaceship. At the end of the short, Aliando is joined by fellow actor Indro “Warkop” in encouraging viewers to go watch Gila Lu Ndro.
An earlier promotional short for the film starred actor Iqbaal Ramadhan.
Aliando said he became interested in promoting the movie as part of his efforts to support the homegrown film industry. “I really like comedy films, and Indro is a legend in Indonesian comedy, so I’m happy I can promote his latest film,” Aliando said as quoted by kompas.com.
Gila Lu Ndro, scheduled to hit theaters on Sept. 13, stars Indro in full prosthetics as an alien, along with a strong line-up of actors like Tora Sudiro, Mieke Amalia, Arie Kriting, Tarzan, Bedu and Yuriko Angeline, as well as an ensemble of stand-up comedians.
