ndonesian mixed-pair shuttlers Liliyana Natsir and Tontowi Ahmad celebrated Swiss watchmaker Tissot’s 20th year as an official partner of the Asian Games at a special event where they were each awarded Tissot timepieces.
The shuttlers were greeted by Tissot president Francois Thiébaud, vice president of product development Nicolas Clerc and Alain Zobrist, CEO of Swiss Timing.
In addition to a special collection of four Tissot watches, Thiébaud also presented the athletes with the Tissot and 18th Asian Games dedicated bell.
Tissot has worked closely with the Asian Games for 20 years as official timekeeper.
Besides the Asian Games, Tissot has also served as official timekeeper for world championships in basketball, cycling, fencing and table tennis.
World number three mixed-pair Liliyana and Tontowi won a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil. The pair also won the 2018 Indonesia Open.
