The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) decreased by 1.82 percent or 107.70 points to 5,823.58 at the midday break on Monday.
Nearly all sectors saw a decline, with the largest drop taking place in the diversified sector (2.79 percent), followed by infrastructure (2.60 percent), manufacturing (2.12 percent) and consumer goods (2.03 percent).
Meanwhile, the smallest drops occurred in infrastructure (0.78 percent) and trade (0.92 percent).
At midday, the transaction volume reached 4.72 shares with a total value at Rp 2.6 trillion (US$174.55 million).
A total of 231 shares moved up, 120 shares moved down and 102 stood pat, reports kontan.co.id.
Only five shares went up in the LQ45, with the three largest risers being PT Sri Rejeki Isman (0.59 percent), PT Lippo Karawaci (0.55 percent and PT Adhi Karya (0.37 percent).
The three biggest decreases were recorded by PT Vale Indonesia (4.72 percent), PT Bank Mandiri (4.44 percent) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (4.32 percent). (bbn)
