Indonesian mixed martial artist Stefer Rahardian said he already smells victory from his upcoming match against wrestler Peng Xue Wen of China at the ONE Championship bout that will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center on Sunday.
“I’m not taking my opponent lightly but I have great confidence that I will be the one who will leave with a victory,” he said Friday.
Despite his latest defeat against Rene Catalan of the Philippines, Denpasar-based Stefer assured that he will not make the same mistake again. He promised a convincing bout as he had discussed and studied the opponent’s fighting patterns.
“I want to prove to everyone that I still possess the skills [to win],” he said.
Commenting on this, Peng acknowledged that he respected Stefer for his skills but he vowed a win by a knock-out. The Chinese wrestler also refused to say anything about his strategy.
“Just give me the fight and I will show the audience I mean business.”
