ity-owned bus operator PT Transjakarta has officially launched three new routes to add to its expanding bus rapid transit system, the new routes connect with existing routes in a bid to improve passenger mobility.
The three new routes are from Blok M in South Jakarta to Rempoa in South Tangerang, Tanah Abang in Central Jakarta to Batu Sari in West Jakarta and Senen Bus Terminal in Central Jakarta to Bunderan Senayan in South Jakarta. Five medium-sized buses called minitrans will serve each route.
“The new routes are integrated with other Transjakarta routes,” Transjakarta operational director Daud Joseph said on Friday as reported by kompas.com.
The Blok M- Rempoa service connects with Transjakarta corridor 1A serving Blok M to Kota, corridor 13A serving Blok M to Ciledug and corridor 6N from Ragunan to Blok M and corridor 8D Blok M to Joglo. Meanwhile, Tanah Abang to Batu Sari passengers can also use the service from other routes including corridor 3 from Kalideres to Pasar Baru, corridor 8 Lebak Bulus to Harmoni and corridor 9 serving Pinangranti to Pluit.
The new Senen to Bunderan Senayan route is integrated with several routes such as corridor 1A serving Blok M to Kota, 6H from Lebak Bulus-Media , 9D Pasar Minggu-Tanah Abang and 5A from Kampung Melayu to Grogol.
“The service operates from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.,” Daud added.
