Palmerah Police in West Jakarta have arrested four teenagers they accuse of being involved in 11 robbery cases in Jakarta.

The teenagers were arrested at separate locations.

“During the robberies they did not hesitate to hurt their victims. They were cruel and were not afraid of anything. Mostly they seized their victim’s money and cellphones,” Palmerah Police chief, Comr. Ade Rosa, said as quoted by wartakota.tribunews.com on Friday.

Police said they have been pursuing the gang since Oct. 30, after one victim reported being robbed at a cafe on Jl. Anggrek Rosliana in Kemanggisan, West Jakarta.

The victim of that incident, Nilla Dahniar, 49, said the robbers seized two cellphones and some money.

“The victim was closing her cafe when four culprits approached. Two people stood outside and two others went inside and threatened her with a sickle,” Ade said. (gis)
