Actress Adinia Wirasti has been crowned Best Actress in the Asia Academy Creative Awards held in Singapore’s National Theater.
Adinia won the coveted award through her latest movie, the adaptation of Ika Natassa’s novel Critical Eleven, beating out Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi in Miss Sherlock.
“I didn’t expect to receive this award, especially knowing that the judges were professionals coming from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Argentina. I won the award because of the hard work and immense support of many people,” Adinia said in her acceptance speech.
Critical Eleven also won Best Actor: National Winners through Adinia’s costar Reza Rahadian and Best Direction: Fictional National Winners through Monty Tiwa and Robert Ronny.
