Five low-cost apartment blocks available in Jakarta

The rental price for apartments in four of the Rusunawa is set at Rp 765,000 (US$53.30) a month excluding electricity and water bills.

akarta Housing and Settlement Agency head Kelik Indriyanto has revealed five low-cost apartment blocks (Rusunawa) under the city administration management that are still available for residents.

“We hope the apartments that we provide can be a choice for Jakartans who are searching for a decent, comfortable and affordable house. Those who are interested in living in the apartment block may apply to the low-cost apartment management head by bringing the [required] documents,” he said in a press statement on Tuesday.

The five Rusunawa include Nagrak and Rorotan in North Jakarta with 3,236 and 546 apartments available, respectively. Then, Penggilingan and Pulogebang Penggilingan Rusunawa in East Jakarta, each with 1,347 and 163 available apartments.

The rental price for apartments in the four aforementioned Rusunawa is set at Rp 765,000 (US$53.30) a month excluding electricity and water bills. Therefore, they are available for people who earn between Rp 2.5 million and Rp 4.5 million per month.

“KS Tubun Rusunawa in West Jakarta has 213 apartments available at a rental price of Rp 1.5 million a month, excluding electricity and water bills,” he said, referring to the apartment block for people who earn from Rp 4.5 million to Rp 7 million.

The tariff for each Rusunawa is stipulated in Jakarta Gubernatorial Regulation No. 29/2019 on the adjustment of housing levies.
