DONGGALA, Central Sulawesi: Dozens of members of the Democratic Party Alliance sealed off the Donggala office of the Democratic Party in Central Sulawesi on Monday following claims the head of the office is involved in a corruption case.

The protesters took down the party's nameplate and posters with photos of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

They demanded the resignation of Muhammad Natsir, head of the local party office, who has been accused of misusing funds amounting to millions of rupiah intended for the party's development program.

The group marched from Banawa park in the center of Donggala to the local office of the Democratic Party.

The protesters later sealed the office by sticking posters and locks on the office's windows and doors. -- JP
