RI shooters aiming high at Bali event

ADPARA>JAKARTA: Indonesia hopes to raise its global standing from 50th to 20th, at the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) championships held in Sanur, Bali from Oct. 19 to Nov. 2, 2008.

"We had shooters in six competitions last year. This year, we will hold four qualifying competitions to pick the best shooters to compete in Bali," IPSC Indonesia regional director Bambang Trihatmodjo said.

More than 1,000 athletes from 82 countries, including France and the United States, have confirmed their participation in the Bali contest. --JP
