Inco pays dividend $0.12 per share

JAKARTA: President director of publicly listed mining company PT International Nickel Indonesia (Inco) Arief S. Siregar said Wednesday the company's general shareholders meeting had approved a final dividend of US$0.12 per share from its 2007 profit.

"Of the agreed final dividend amount, the shareholders already received a total dividend payment of $0.098 in 2007," he said.

The company earned a net profit of $1.17 billion in 2007, up from $513.4 million in 2005. The firm's sales revenue also rose 74 percent to $2.33 billion.

Inco's nickel production reached 76,748 tons last year as compared with 71,622 tons in 2006. The 2007 production level was the highest in company history. (JP/uwi)
