JAKARTA: The government has started the process of selecting the new Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes to replace Kemas Yahya Rahman.
Cabinet Secretary Sudi Silalahi said Tuesday the government's final assessment team, which is led by the President, would put three candidates under scrutiny on Thursday.
He declined to disclose the nominees and whether the selected candidate will be announced on Thursday.
Marwan Effendy, the head of East Java prosecutor's office, Untung Udji Santoso, the secretary to Junior Attorney General for Intelligence and Masyhudi Ridwan, the Junior Attorney General for Civil and State Administration, have been widely touted as strong candidates for the post.
