Australia offers scholarships

JAKARTA: The Australian government has opened applications for the Endeavour Awards scholarships to students, researchers and professionals from the Asia-Pacific, including Indonesia.

Successful candidates will undertake study, research and professional development in Australia in a broad range of disciplines.

"Each year, Australia hosts a new group of Endeavour Award recipients from Indonesia, who build enduring professional and personal networks with Australian scholars. *These relationships* continue long after they have returned to Indonesia," said Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Bill Farmer in a statement Wednesday.

Last year 30 Indonesians received Endeavour Awards to study in Australia.

Applications for the awards close on 31 July. Further information can be obtained at www.endeavour.dest.gov.au. -- JP
