Sharia and caliphate

I wonder why the writer dislikes capitalism so much and is so very quick to blame western capitalists for the exploitation of Indonesia's natural resources.

An equal measure of blame is on the shoulders of Indonesia for having a corrupt mindset and for never paying attention to educating its people. Education is crucial for building a strong nation.

Look at Singapore and Malaysia, they wouldn't be what they are today had they not invested so much in educating and empowering their people.

And as the country with the largest population of Muslims in the world, what has Islam achieved for Indonesia in terms of education and nation building?

Ahmadiyah mosque -- April 29, Online

What type of example is this? I am sure this act of religious terrorism does not reflect the noble values of the people of Indonesia. What does Allah say in the Holy Koran regarding places of worship?

"Those who have been driven out from their homes unjustly, only because they said, 'Our Lord is Allah.' And if Allah had not repelled some people by means of others, cloisters and churches and synagogues and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is oft remembered, would surely have been destroyed. And Allah will, surely, help him who helps Him. Allah is, indeed, Powerful, Mighty" (Al-Haj Chapter 22 : Verse 41)

The government of Indonesia should not play into the hands of a few extremists. Remember, a majority in one country is sometimes a minority in another. I hope the country that signed the 1948 declaration on Human Rights will pay attention.

This act of terrorism by so called "Mainstream Muslims" against innocent members of the Ahmadiyah community, is an extremely sad event.

The torching of the Ahmadiyah mosque by these fundamentalists should not be taken lightly. No one has the right to declare any sect heretical. Those who have terrorized this innocent minority community and have burned down their mosque, should be arrested and put to death.

Arrested, yes, but no, Taymoor Khan, not put to death. An appropriate punishment should be decided by the courts which will help to reform the perpetrators. I would sincerely hope that they would not receive the death penalty and thereby make them martyrs to their foolish cause. I would hope that they would have time to reflect on their lawlessness, change their hearts and persuade their erstwhile comrades of the error of their ways.

The Ahmadiyya motto is "Love for All; Hatred for None." I doubt that the innocent community which you rightly say have been terrorised would actually welcome more vindictiveness. You need water to put out fire, not more fire.
