JAKARTA: Indonesian pop-rock group Slank will launch a new album in Japan, in collaboration with Japanese band The Big Hip.

Slank lead singer Kaka said the new album would feature 12 songs written in three languages -- Indonesian, English and Japanese.

"We've been working with The Big Hip since last year. We'll release the album in Japan first, followed by Indonesia at the end of this month," Kaka said.

Slank and The Big Hip will also perform at Diamond Hall in Nagoya on May 5 and at Liquid Room in Tokyo on May 6, Antara reported.

In addition to preparing their new album, Slank are also being filmed for a documentary by acclaimed director Garin Nugroho. -- JP
