Glenn to hold solo concert

JAKARTA: Popular crooner Glenn Fredly will tour seven cities during the month of June, belting out 25 songs in each of his scheduled shows.

The concerts, organized by OPA management and Ruth Sahanaya Productions, will be held from June 1 to June 28 in the cities of Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, Manado, Yogyakarta, Bandung and Medan.

Director of Ruth Sahanaya Productions, Jefri Woworuntu, said the Jakarta concert would be held at Plenary Hall in the Jakarta Convention Center on June 1.

He told tempointeraktif.com that his company was taking part in organizing the concert to bring Glenn's music to fans across the country.

The last two single-act concerts were those by the Three Divas and Chrisye. "We're simply taking advantage of this moment," Jefri said.

As many as 4,000 tickets, with different price ranges, are expected to be sold in each city.

Glenn has so far produced eight albums. His latest album, Happy Sunday, was released last year. -- JP
