"To Allah we belong and to Him is our return."
Muslims normally recite this verse upon a loss, particularly loss of lives. World conscious seems to have died and therefore I recited this verse. Life is perhaps the cheapest commodity in today's modern world, where modern humans have displayed values worse than those of animals.
Unfortunate and innocent common Indonesians will fall victim to the curse of God for the failings of their leaders for not protecting innocent members of Ahmadiyah and other minorities who are being persecuted for their beliefs.
Several years back, in 1974 and then in 1980, similar dramas were played in Pakistan where in the name of service to Allah a bunch of worldly mullahs and their masters let the reign of terror on members of the Ahmadiyah community and numerous people were killed.
A little over 100 years back two pious and holy men and highly respected religious scholars (Sahibzada Abdul Latif and Maulvi Abdur Rehman) were stoned to death in Afghanistan on the order of the king under pressure of clergymen of that time.
Their only sin was that they had accepted the message of the founder of Ahmadiyah. History bears witness that not only the end of the king and his kingdom was a lesson, but also that peace was taken away from that land and the nation suffers for the acts of their leaders and clergymen.
The tsunami has not been taken as a warning and now food shortages are on the way; the political leaders of the nation and their so-called religious leaders should learn the lessons from the fate of Afghanistan and Pakistan and fear the wrath of Allah.
They will be responsible for any curse coming to Indonesia and it is the duty of leaders of the international community to take appropriate actions to protect the lives, honor and properties of innocent members of the Ahmadiyah community and other religious minorities living in Indonesia.

I agree with Tahir Iqbal, "They will be responsible for any curse coming to Indonesia and it is the duty of leaders of the international community to take appropriate actions to protect the lives, honor and properties of innocent members of the Ahmadiyah community and other religious minorities living in Indonesia". We have to look inside ourselves. We often judge people in wrong side without any realize that we have done a sin. Indonesia is a democracy country and based on Pancasila so that lives, honor and properties of the Ahmadiyah community should be protected.
Ahmadiyah has existed in Indonesia many years ago and they are Indonesian. If we want to chase Ahmadiyah away from Indonesia, it means that we chase our brother away too.
