JAKARTA: The police have asked Sri Sumarinah to persuade her husband, Rudi Muchtar, who was allegedly in possession of dozens of amphetamine pills, to turn himself in.
"She said Rudi was staying at Depok, West Java, at his parents' place. She said he was scared of turning himself in after reading news about himself in newspapers," Cilandak subprecinct police chief Comr. Makmur Simbolon said Thursday, adding Rudi had run away when they searched for him in Depok.
He said Sri, 29, and their 6-year-old daughter Rida Wahyu, who went to the Cilandak Police station in South Jakarta on Thursday, were cooperative in the investigation.
Rudi's daughter took her father's 'happy five' pills, not knowing what they were, and shared them with four friends in Sekar Bangsa kindergarten school in Cilandak, South Jakarta, on Monday.
The children vomited, collapsed and were unable to walk after taking the pills. --JP
