Navy plane makes emergency landing in Semarang

A Navy training plane made an emergency landing on Cilandak River in West Semarang, Central Java, after an engine trouble on Tuesday. Two personnel were injured in the incident.
Navy chief spokesman Cmdr. Iskandar Sitompul said that the two personnel has been taken to the nearest hospital.
Iskandar said the Tobacco-10 plane took off from Ahmad Yani Airbase in Semarang at around 10:30 a.m., but not long after the plane had an engine problem.
“To prevent further danger, it was decided for the plane to make emergency landing,” said Iskanda, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
The landing was made on farming area. One of the plane's wing broke on landing.
The Navy has sent a team to investigate the incident. (dre)
