*1) The President dissolved the Cabinet in a decree issued on Jan. 23, 1948. The Cabinet continued working until Jan. 29, when a new Cabinet was formed through another presidential decree.

*2) On Jan. 22, 1948, three ministers from the Masyumi Party and one from the United Islamic Party of Indonesia (PSII) resigned. The president did not replace them and left the four posts vacant.
