The Association of Indonesian Tour and Travel Agencies (ASITA) held a Fun Bike event with 800 participants on May 21.
The event, which took place at the Mandiri Museum in Kota Tua, was part of ASITA’s anniversary celebration. ASITA had previously conducted several other celebrations in Jakarta.

According to Dodi Riadi, the head of the Tourism Ministry’s Kota Tua 10 Priority Destinations Team, the Fun Bike event brought together about 1,400 members of both ASITA and the Tourism Ministry.
During the event, Riadi gave an update on the development of Kota Tua and the Thousand Islands that are part of the Ministry’s 10 Priority Destinations. On May 17 a Focus Group Discussion was held to talk about the management of four heritage islands: Cipir, Kelor, Onrust and Bidadari. The day after, the Jakarta History Museum celebrated International Museum Day 2017 from May 18 to 19. (asw)
