Sambas regency in West Kalimantan will hold the Gemilang Wonderful Indonesia Festival on July 2 at Sijang Village.
The festival aims to attract Malaysian tourists to visit Indonesia and will be held in Sambas since the regency is located on the Indonesia-Malaysia border. The show is to start at 09:00 a.m and feature Wali Band as the main attraction.

Apart from the music concert, Sambas’ specialties will also be presented in the festival, such as food, clothing and local souvenirs.
“Sambas has the potential to become the entrance gate for Malaysian tourists. Some of the [festival’s] activities include arts and cultural performances and an exhibition of creative products from Sambas,” said Tourism Ministry official Ni Putu G. Gayatri. (asw)
