Ministries discuss partnership in homestay development for 10 priority destinations

evelopment acceleration team for 10 priority destinations, development acceleration team for tourist village homestay and regional infrastructure development agency (BPIW) of public works and public housing ministry held a meeting on Thursday, July 6 to discuss the partnership deal for homestay development in 10 new Balis.

The ministry's head of development acceleration for priority tourist destinations, Hiramsyah S. Thaib added that there should be a separate technical team formed by the two ministries that are responsible for mapping out locations for the tourist village program and discuss the archipelago architectural design.

At the meeting, BPIW’s Hadi Sucahyono talked about the possibility of a special homestay program from public works and public housing ministry. “We can follow the example of the special program made for the ASEAN Games and regulated by the ministry to support the architecture of the archipelago,” said Sucahyono.

“We’re going to conduct a follow-up meeting with housing research and development center (Puskim). The material for archipelago architectural design is already with the public works and public housing ministry but we haven’t organized it yet,” said Thaib. (asw)
