tate-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II has implemented customer-based Marketing 3.0 strategy in all its airports. One of the programs is the new airport helper service at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport's Terminal 1 and 2 that was launched on Sept. 1.
"We also provide golf carts at the Terminal 3 that can take passengers to landing, take off or gate locations that are quite far away,” said the company's president director M. Awaluddin.
Compared to previous strategies, Marketing 1.0 that was profit oriented and Marketing 2.0 that aimed for customer satisfaction, the latest strategy is more about maintaining a good relationship with customers that is based on trust and love.
In line with that spirit, AP II recently launched an online campaign during the National Customer Day that falls on Sept. 4, which encouraged the public to upload their AP II-related photos on social media using hashtag #

There are also photos of airport officers during runway inspection, an airport customer service who is guiding a passenger with special needs and many more.
“This campaign aims to invite airport users to participate in creating a fun atmosphere at the airport,” said Awaluddin, adding that he hoped it would increase employees’ awareness in maintaining good service and facilities at the airport.
