l Tari International Airport in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), has reportedly removed landing and parking fees for chartered planes carrying foreign tourists.
State-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I's El Tari airport general manager, Wahyudi, told Antara news agency on Monday that the move aimed to support efforts to increase tourism in the province.
Recently hundreds of tourists from Australia visited NTT through the airport using chartered planes to explore tourist destinations in the region.

The stimulus also aims to support the Komodo Travel Mart program slated for Oct. 18-21 in Kupang.
Wahyudi was hopeful the free landing and parking services would continue in order to achieve NTT's target to attract 1.5 million tourists this year.
"Last year [NTT] welcomed up to 1 million tourists, which is not a small number. That's why we are targeting to increase the number to 1.5 million," said NTT Tourism Agency head Marius Jelamu. (kes)
