The ITB Asia 2017 trade show is currently being held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

The event that runs from Oct. 24 to 27 is joined by Indonesia who has 90 industry players at the ready to promote its tourism.

Themed "Maritime Culture of Wonderful Indonesia", Indonesia's booth is located at the basement 2, Hall E.

“Wonderful Indonesia [tourism brand] is doing better at ITB Asia this year; the booth’s design is attractive, there’s a phinisi boat, the Wonderful Indonesia writing is also more noticeable. There are barista, face portrait, therapist and virtual reality,” said Indonesian ambassador for Singapore, Ngurah Swajaya.

“ITB Asia is a forum that brings together credible buyers and sellers; these people have been making appointments to meet each other since June 2017,” added Tourism Ministry's Southeast Asia tourism promotion assistant deputy Rizki Handayani.

Phinisi is a traditional boat of Bugis tribe in Makassar. Back in its heyday the boat was used to travel the world.

For VIP attendees, the team has prepared a special VIP corner decorated with sofa, colorful umbrellas and traditional masks. (kes)
