The amusement park has set a target of welcoming 280,000 people to its New Year's Eve celebrations.

"The five places include Putri Duyung, Pasar Seni, Taman Lumba-Lumba and Lagoon and Carnaval beaches," Ancol Dreamland Park director Teuku Sahir Syahali said in a statement on Monday.

Sahir added that the five locations would host various events, such as music, dances, culinary festivals and a bazaar. He added that the events would take inspiration from various local cultures.

"The touch of local culture will be divided into different zones from different areas in Indonesia, which will be combined with a festive fireworks musical," Sahir said.

In Taman Lumba-Lumba, a culinary festival will be held from Dec. 23 to Jan. 1, which will also be accompanied by dance performances, such as the Saman dance from Aceh and the Reog Ponorogo dance.

Ushering in the New Year in Pasar Seni, there will be Betawi cultural performances on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, such as pencak silat martial arts, lenong theater and Betawi dance. Several Pasar Seni artists are also set to display their artworks, Sahir said, which would be themed "kicir-kicir."

"Other than Betawi culture, visitors will also be able to see Srimulat and campursari performances on Dec. 23," Sahir said.
