The Jakarta Great Online Sale (JGOS) will have 100 e-commerce businesses and marketplaces participating, with discounts of up to 95 percent.
he 2018 Jakarta Great Online Sale (JGOS) is set to run from Aug. 24 to 30 with more than 100 e-commerce businesses and marketplaces participating, as reported by Antara news agency.
Held for the sixth time, the sale gives people the opportunity to purchase various goods from numerous online shops at discounts of up to 95 percent.
“The Jakarta Great Online Sale is one of the events to support the Jakarta administration’s programs on shopping tourism. Last year, we held the sale in June, in conjunction with the city’s anniversary. This year, the sale is in August as it is a special month, with Independence Day and the ongoing Asian Games,” said Irfan Badruzaman, head of JGOS 2018, during a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday.

Irfan said the number of participating sellers had increased since the first edition, as well as the variety of goods. He noted that newcomers included plazahidayah.com, which sold children’s educational toys and mushaff (manuscript) of digital Quran, as well as baby needs store Orami, which offers discounts of up to 90 percent and benefits for BRI card holders.
Fashion trader Berrybenka will release its newest collection for the 2018 JGOS and offers discounts up to 95 percent.
