The Education Foundation of St. Francis Asisi held a green festival on Jan 22-24 to create a healthier living environment and to spread awareness among its students and the nearby community about the importance of preserving the environment.
Funtasysi, short for Fun and Fantasy at Asisi, launched the school’s greening activities with
activities to encourage their students to get creative and busy with all things environmental.
Katon and Nugie were two of several local celebrities to graduate from the school who came back for the festival.
Funtasysi featured student projects that applied their practical knowledge – in mathematics, physics, music, art, sports and scouting – to something related to the environment.
Students got the chance to learn about gardening so they could later plant some seedlings and tend a bit of garden wherever they live. The festival also featured a puppet performance with nature as the theme.
The three-day festival also featured traditional dancing and singing performed by both students and local bands, including RAN.
