Tune in to any music channel you know, you’ll stumble onto this 16-year-old Canadian singer’s brand new single “Baby” again and again.

My World 2.0 (released as My Worlds in some countries) is the chaser to first album My World by this heady pop culture delirium inciter and full-blown epidemic, Justin Beiber.

My World, released in November 2009, went platinum. The one-two punch sets up a potential knock-out tour. Bieber said he is getting ready his first headlining tour to promote the album and broaden his audience.

“Baby”, featuring Ludacris, made instant pop hit status, blanketing mainstream and rhythmic radio formats.

This is Bieber’s biggest single to date, peaking at number 5 and number 3, in the US and Canada, respectively.

Second and third singles “Never Let You Go” and “U Smile” were released in March, setting the stage for the album. “Never Let You Go” resembles Chris Brown’s “Forever”, so we can expect an electrifying response.

This just-add-water pop idol with gleaming teeth and pinchable cheeks has been the most exciting Canadian export since Celine Dion, Shania Twain and Michael Bublé. No wonder YouTube and MySpace confirmed that he has garnered 150 million plays since he first appeared.

Last but not least, the album harks back to the R&B swagger of the early days of now-staid Usher and Justin Timberlake, just the thrilling fixation every generation XY teen craves. It might be your unforgettable legacy one day, akin to Spears’ “Baby One More Time” or Aguilera’s “Genie in the Bottle”.
