Hong Kong-based Michelin-starred restaurant Kam’s Roast has opened its first outlet in Indonesia.
Located in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) in North Jakarta, the eatery specializes in roasted food.
The restaurant’s roast duck is worth a try as it is said to be served with a special sauce that makes it different from other roast duck dishes in Jakarta.
“We import the sauce from Hong Kong, but we use local ingredients for other elements,” said co-owner Inge Sutrisno to kompas.com.
The roast duck can be enjoyed with wonton noodles to offer a sweet-savory taste combination.
The restaurant also has ‘toro’ char siu, soya chicken and roast suckling pig on the menu.
Among its highlighted vegetarian dishes is marinated cucumber with vinegar and garlic. The cucumber is cut in several parts and later enriched with soy sauce and diced garlic.
As for beverages, Kam’s Roast serves Chinese tea and black tea.
Prices for meals start at around Rp 150,000 (US$10).
Kam’s Roast also has branches in Singapore and the Philippines. It has been awarded one star by the Michelin Guide Hong Kong and Macau in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. (wir/kes)
