Jakarta x Beauty festival seeks to promote self-confidence

The Jakarta x Beauty 2018 Festival is set to be held on April 27-29 at Senayan City shopping mall in Central Jakarta.
Themed “#yourbeautyrules”, the annual beauty fair is set to promote self-confidence, encouraging local beauty enthusiasts to feel comfortable in their own skin.
Local beauty website Female Daily Network, which is the organizer of the event, said in a press release that beauty did not mean clear skin without freckles, acne or wrinkles. Through the event, the company aims to educate visitors that each woman is different and should be able to accept themselves.

The event is set to feature 60 beauty brands, more than 40 beauty influencers, 15 makeup artists, 20 classes and 20 beauty discussions.
CEO Female Daily Network Hanifa Ambadar said the number of participating brands had increased from the previous installment.
Hanifa also shared that local beauty enthusiasts were proud of local brands. Based on a survey conducted by the company, 21 percent of its readers had purchased more than 10 local beauty products in the past year, showing the popularity of local brands. (jes/kes)
