The author passed away at Sentra Medika Cisalak Hospital in Depok, West Java, on Friday at 2:50 p.m.
Famous radio drama author Stanislaus Tidjab, popularly known as S. Tidjab, has died at the age of 72.
His daughter Praptani Putri told kompas.com on Sunday afternoon that S. Tidjab has been suffering from rectum cancer for two years.
"He got worse since the past year, had to be treated at the hospital a few times," said Putri.

Gaining his fame in the 1980s, S. Tidjab wrote some legendary works, like Tutur Tinular, Mahkota Mayangkara, Kaca Benggala and Kidung Keramat.
His last work was a radio drama called Asmara di Tengah Bencana (Romance Amid Disaster) that was part of a disaster awareness campaign initiated by the National Disaster Mitigation Agency. (kes)
