Why stop now?

Perhaps that is one of the burning questions from some fans of Netflix's critically acclaimed La Casa de Papel, called Money Heist in English, as the show is coming to an end this year.

The award-winning series chronicles two elaborate heists by a criminal mastermind who goes by "The Professor" (played by Álvaro Morte) — first on the Royal Mint of Spain and, later, the Bank of Spain. Eight people handpicked by The Professor are given city names as their codenames.

Narrated by one of the robbers, Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó), Money Heist became an instant hit thanks to its intricate storytelling, complex characters and intense moments and twists.

The show is also credited for its attempt to reinvent Spanish television. It was originally run by Spanish network Antena 3 before United States streaming giant Netflix acquired the show’s streaming rights in 2017. Netflix's version of Money Heist saw the release of its first part on Dec. 20, 2017, on the platform. The second part was released on April 6, 2018.
