ANGERANG: A 23-year-old woman was found dead in a rented room at the Tanjung Pasir beach resort in Teluk Naga, Tangerang regency, on Thursday.
Amar Yopi, chief of security at the beach said the victim, Meilani, had been a resident of Sewan village, Neglasari district.
He said the victim, accompanied by a man, had checked into a room at the beach resort on Wednesday afternoon.
“She came out of the room at about 9 p.m. last night to buy some food and returned to the room a few minutes later. We didn’t see her again until she was found dead this morning,” he said, adding that her boyfriend was nowhere to be found.
Yopi said Meilani and her boyfriend had frequently visited the beach resort. — JP
