“I was chosen along with 12 other activists. We will leave for Borneo next month under ‘Project Borneo’,” she said as quoted by kompas.com.
Fahrani said she would stay with Dayak people in their dwellings and try to save the dwindling forest and orangutans.
She expressed confidence in spending time there away from the city.
“I don’t think it will be a problem. I do have a house in Bali in the jungle and I have been staying there for two years, so I don’t think I will have any trouble living in the jungle,” Fahrani said.
According to Fahrani, she had an orangutan when she was little.
