An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit an area northeast of Intanjaya, Papua, on Monday at 10:41 a.m. local time.
According to information from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the epicenter of the quake was 2.94 degrees latitude and 136.97 degrees longitude at a depth of 90 kilometers.
The earthquake struck around 111 kilometers northeast of Enarotali and 168 km east of Nabire. (asw)
