our comments on the court documentation errors that have led graft convict Comr. Gen. (ret.) Susno Duadji and his lawyers to resist prosecutors' attempts to put him in jail:

I hope that this case will be resolved soon as otherwise it will adversely affect the law enforcement process. To Mr. Susno: Please surrender.

Passing laws and not ensuring their implementation leads to a huge void in effective government.

Moreover the undesirable elements, which thrive on breaking the rule of law, are becoming smarter than the law makers.

They manage to thwart the process by finding flaws in court orders even before the ink has dried on them.

This is a reality we cannot afford to live with.

I think it's time we punish them for their crimes.

He is really embarrassing the government and country.

Arrest him as he is a criminal. There are no excuses.

Some officials have downplayed the administrative flaw (meaning that there is indeed a flaw). It would be best for Mr. Susno to turn himself in to the Attorney General's Office than be captured, which would only reflect badly on him.

Evading a court ruling? Justice may not be served in Susno's case, but the law must be upheld.

Whoever made the error in the court's documentation should be fired as they are obviously incompetent.
